Will you save your city from crisis?

Or will it reach its Fallpoint?

A semi-cooperative board game about climate action, resource management, and the tension between personal ambition and collective survival.

What is The Fallpoint?

A board game where every move shapes a city on the brink

In The Fallpoint, 2-6 players find themselves in a city confronted by a mounting social and environmental crisis. You take on the roles of concerned citizens who want to save their city long enough to realize their own personal ambitions.

Social tensions building underneath the surface magnify the scale and pace of the city’s downfall. Players must band together and navigate the paths to power successfully in order to fulfill their personal ambitions and save their city from its Fallpoint.

“For nine years, we built, broke and rebuilt The Fallpoint, embracing all its cracks, crises, and struggles. It’s not about right or wrong – it’s about choices, consequences, and opportunity. Around one table, anyone can step into the story of a city, face the tradeoffs of climate action, and discover that even one person can change the outcome.”

Why We Created The Fallpoint

Since we started working on this game in 2017, we have researched a ton of material on climate issues and their impact on social, political, and economic problems around the world. Along the way, we have gathered hundreds of stories – of people, of communities, of cities.

A lot of these stories are tragic, but there are also ones that show us that change is possible; that it takes everything and everyone working together to counter a problem that is not just local, but also global in nature.

We wanted to create something that goes beyond entertainment—a tool for people to engage with these complex issues in a way that's accessible, immersive, and meaningful. Through play, we hope to spark conversations, build empathy, and inspire action.
